What is difference between “Opacity and Fill” for layers in photoshop? For opacity, the photoshop explanation says “set the master opacity for the layer”. For “fill” the photoshop explanation says “set the interior opacity for the layer”.

I really like photoshop, we have it at school and I use it alot. My dad said I could get it, but it’s really expensive so he wanted me to find out if Photoshop elements was good. What does it let you do?
is there even a difference? Because i cant notice a thing that is different between these two photoshop apps. i have photoshop v. 7.0 and photoshop elements v.6.0 and i don’t see what the difference is between them. Maybe you know of something that one program has that the other one doesn’t.
