I have cast iron bookends, which read Jesus never fails. I also have a cast iron man picking apples off a tree, and two open rings in shape of fry pans with a man and a women inside standing at a gate, and an axe, fry pan and 7 other plagues like the bookends

Do I need a special metal drilling bit or I I have to have a completely different tool?
I want to drill through a small piece of metal that is about 4mm thick to that I can lock my garden gate.

i am a first time horse owner tying to prepare safe and reliable fencing for my horses on 2 1/2 acres. i was hoping for portable fencing for rotation and flexibility. the horses aren’t at my home yet so i have time.

If anyone with a broad knowledge in the topic.. How does an automatic gate open/close ( the mechanism) without motor or main supply installation.. It is required to open/close via remote control yes… But how does the mechanism work.. What drives the spring/damper on the gate.. Any references would be much appreciated
